On May 17, 2019, EJE LAW successfully represented a partner and vice representative of a leading domestic accounting firm before the Seoul High Court, securing a ruling that the dismissal of the partner was invalid. This decision is particularly significant as it marks the first case to provide a detailed legal assessment of the status of partners within accounting firms and to clarify the grounds and procedures required for their dismissal.

Although the case is still pending before the Supreme Court, the appellate decision has provided meaningful clarification regarding the legal status of accounting firm partners, and has helped establish judicial standards concerning the requirements and procedures for their dismissal.
